DHUBRI, July 10 - One Abhola Roy hanged himself to death and caused grievous injuries to his wife Sowali Roy, on Sunday after receiving a notice from the Foreigners Tribunal.
Police said that Abhola tried to kill his wife, Sowali by causing multiple injuries on her body with a blade. The people of their locality at village Bidyadabri Part V, under Halakura outpost of Agomoni PS, said that the couple were looking tense since the last few days as they had received a notice from the Foreigners Tribunal and could not afford to fight a case in the tribunal.
