GUWAHATI, May 4 - The police on Monday arrested two persons after a man was found dead in Fatasil-Ambari area, saying he was apparently murdered.
The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Mallik.
A police source said Mallik�s friends Subrata Mandal and Rahul Das have been arrested on suspicion of the murder.
�Preliminary investigation revealed that the three men were drunk last night and got into an argument, after which the incident took place. It seems Subrata Mandal and Rahul Das strangled the victim,� the source added.
The body was sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered under sections 120 B/ 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
