Man battles for life, seeks help

By Correspondent

RANGIYA, April 19 - The severe mental trauma, stress and helplessness cast on the family members of a popular youth Paban Nath here, whose both kidneys are damaged, can be scarcely imagined, as he lies on his bed at home, winding up treatment half way.

The only bread earner of the family, Nath (familiar as Paren of South Bordol village of Rangiya subdivision), lies bedridden, battling for life, unable to get his treatment done due to lack of money. With both his kidneys non-functional, he is fighting imminent death, seeking the assistance of people or philanthropists for the required medications as per the advice of physicians before it is too late.

Family members earlier admitted him to the GMCH where his ailment was confirmed. Later on dialysis of the kidneys was carried out at a private nursing home. Many people of the locality extended financial assistance, but as such treatment requires huge funds, the family members found it impossible to bear the costs and subsequently left his treatment half way through and brought him home. With his wife and daughter on one side and her widowed mother sitting on the other hand, they now await financial assistance or help to bring back their son, husband and father from the jaws of death.
