BONGAIGAON, April 29 - Four persons of a marriage party were injured, one critically, when they were attacked by a youth identified as Majen Ray (32) at Bhatipara in Bhakaribhita area in Bongaigaon town in the wee hours today.
The injured have been identified as Rathin Barman,who is critical; Diganta Ray, Bubul Das and Swapan Barman. Rathin has been referred to Barpeta Medical College and the other three injured are under medical care at the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital.
Majen had attacked the groom party�s individuals, who came from Salkocha in Dhubri district, with a sharp weapon allegedly after a heated exchange with them on the roadside near the bride�s residence.
Majen was forwarded to judicial custody after he was produced before the court by the police after his arrest.
