GUWAHATI, October 29 � The State Government today effected a major reshuffle in the administration transferring and appointing as many as 15 Deputy Commissioners (DC).
While DC Kamrup (Metro) Prateek Hajela has been transferred as the Secretary, Health Department, Nalbari DC AK Agnihotri will be the DC of Kamrup (Metro).
Tezpur DC Rajesh Prasad has been transferred as the Secretary, Labour and Employment, while Tinsukia DC KK Dwibedi will be the DC of Dibrugarh.
Sivasagar DC MM Hussain has been transferred as the Golaghat DC, while Dibrugarh DC GC Triparthi would take over the charge of the Secretary, Home and Political Department. Meenakshi Sundaram, DC, Udalguri has been transferred as the DC of Tinsukia district. Darrang DC Dhruva Hazarika has been appointed as the GAD Secretary, while Dhubri DC Jatindra Lahkar has been transferred as DC Sibasagar.
Moreover, Hailakandi DC TC Goswami would take over as the Secretary, Border Development Department and Babul Chandra Barbaruah would be the new DC of Baksa. Donald Gilfelon and Sunil Dutta have been appointed as the new DCs of Kokrajhar and Dhubri, respectively.
Bhuban Chandra Baruah, Thaneswar Malakar, Kumud Chandra Kalita and Tapan Chandra Sarma, Lalit Gogoi would be the new DCs of Hailakandi, Udalguri, Darrang and Sonitpur and Nalbari districts, respectively. Kamal Mahanta has been appointed as the new APSC Secretary.
