SIVASAGAR, Oct 18 - Former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has cautioned the BJP not to go ahead with the agenda of granting Hindu migrants citizenship in Assam.
Addressing the media here on Sunday, Mahanta said that the move will make the indigenous people a minority in their own State. He said his party will go ahead opposing the Centre�s move even without shedding ties at the moment.
He indicated that the AGP may go for elections on it�s own. Mahanta said that Asom Gana Parishad will never do anything that might go against the Assamese people and against the supreme sacrifice of hundreds of our brethren during the Assam Agitation.
