KALIABOR, Jan 29 - The two-day Maghi Purnima Utsav of the historic Bharali Naamghar under Kaliabor constituency will be observed on January 30 and 31.
The first day�s programme will start at 8.30 am with hoisting of the insigne by distinguished story writer Kusum Bora, while at 9 am, a book titled Gilingoni compiled by dramatist and teacher Biraj Bhusan Bora will be formally released by Narendra Nath Hazarika, a noted educationist of Kaliabor. This will be followed by naam prasanga and prasad bitoron and in the evening an Ankiya Bhaona named Ram Bijoy will be staged by the children and inaugurated by Mani Madhab Mahanta of Balisatra (Dekasatriya).
The second day�s programme will begin with a cleanliness drive at 7 am followed by Bhagawat Bhraman and Bhogshar by Keshab Mahanta, Water Resources and IT Minister. There will be naam prasanga and prasad bitoron at 4 pm, while Indira PP Bora will present a Bharat Natyam presentation. In the evening, Naam Kirtan will be presented by local womenfolk.
The organisers are hopeful that over 1.5 lakh bhakats will assemble at the venue in order to take part in the Utsav.
