GUWAHATI, Aug 31 - The death anniversary of saint Mahapurush Madhabdev was observed with elaborate programmes across the State today.
The occasion was marked by naam prasanga, religious discourses, discussions on the contributions of Madhabdev and Sankardev and the sattras, and cultural programmes.
In the city also, various naamghars observed the day with various programmes. Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, observed the day with naam prasanga, cultural programmes and discussions on the contributions of the five great saints � Sankardev, Madhabdev, Damodardev, Haridev and Aniruddhadev.
