Madhabdev Kalakshetra raised in Assembly

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Aug 13 - Congress MLA Bhupen Bora today raised the issue of construction of Madhabdev Kalakshetra at Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district and alleged that the Government has been dilly-dallying the process. The inordinate delay in completion of the work just because I represent the place is unfortunate. I will protest and even would not hesitate to resign from the post of MLA if the need be, Bora told the Assembly while raising a point of order.

Bora alleged that the Congress party had assured construction of the Kalakshetra way back in 2006 and the Chief Minister had even laid the foundation stone in front of 30,000 people in 2007.

Reacting to Boras comments, Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly Pranab Gogoi asked the Congress legislator to give a written complaint about his apprehensions regarding construction of Madhabdev Kalakshetra.
