Madan Kamdev Yoga Mahavidyalaya inaugurated at Baihata Chariali

BAIHATA CHARIALI, June 21 - BK Smriti of the Prajapita Brahmakumari Iswariya Vidyalaya, Baihata Chariali branch formally inaugurated the Madan Kamdev Yoga Mahavidyalaya at Baihata Chariali on June 20 before a huge gathering.

Promoted by Indian Yoga Culture and Yoga Therapy Center, the Mahavidyalaya was set up here under the supervision of Asha Socio-Economic Development Society. Synchronising with the occasion, a meeting was also held there under the chairmanship of Yogacharya Subhasish Kour. Participating in the meeting, Rajani Kanta Talukdar, Principal of Pioneer Academy, Bezera, lit the candle of the opening ceremony of the Mahavidyalaya and spoke about the importance of yoga in the present time. Gautam Kumar Deka, in his speech briefly spoke about the importance that the Indian way of meditation and yoga has gained popularity in foreign countries like Germany and the USA for their immense value in maintaining one�s physical and mental health. In the meeting, yoga guru Amrit Maharaj, Dibya Jyoti Deka, yoga teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Guwahati, Anil Deka, president of BJP Bezera mandal and Chandana Mahanta Baniya, a member of the Bezera ZPC were also present.

The Yoga Mahavidyalaya authority said that admission for three courses �Yoga foundation course�, �Yoga certificate course� and �Yoga Teacher diploma course� will begin for the 2017- 2018 year in the first phase and classes will be held on every Sunday by experienced and trained yogacharyas.

Book Released: In a meeting held recently at the Piyalikhata Borichuba mosque here, a book Alhaz Majnur Alir Jiban Parikroma edited by Taslimuddin Ahmed was released by Dinesh Kalita, Principal of Frontline English School. The meeting was held under the presidentship of Hussain Ali Khandakar, ex-president of Baihata Chariali Sahitya Sabha where Moulana Ashik Ilahi, �pech imam� of Borichuba Jame Masjid and Satyabrat Kalita, MLA of Kamalpur LAC were present as the appointed speaker and the chief guest respectively.
