MANGALDAI, June 3 - The office of the Deputy Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Darrang has started carrying out raids in some particular pockets acting on secret inputs.
In one such recent raid, in the house and campus of one Prakash Shah and Pinky Debi located at Krishna Nagar, Gerimeri, the officials of the department seized five filled and sealed domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg category) and another five domestic LPG cylinders (5 kg category) besides 20 domestic gas consumer cards. During interrogation, the said house owners have admitted before the executive magistrate that they used to collect these filled domestic cylinders from M/s Durga Devi Gas Agency of Mangaldai town against an additional price of Rs 50 as carrying charge for each cylinder.
