LUMDING, June 6 - The death anniversary of Lokenath Baba was observed here at the temple premises of South Hill Colony, Lumding in a befitting manner on June 3.
The programme began with chanting from the religious book Bhagvad Geeta and nam keertan. This was followed by fetching water from ponds in the morning for the adhibaas of Lokenath. Then the worshipping of Loknath in the temple began and a large number of devotees with the help of members of the committee participated in the prayer. This was followed by puja with bhog at noon.
In the evening, prasad was distributed among thousands of people irrespective of caste, community and religion. The celebration ended at the dead of night. The Day was also observed at Lokenath Temple near Vivekananda Stadium, Lumding.
