ITANAGAR, July 15 - As many as 288 cases, including 264 pre-litigation and 24 pending cases, were disposed of by various courts across Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday by holding National Lok Adalat involving a total settlement amount of Rs 28.56 lakh.
The Lok Adalats conducted as per directive of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA), took up civil, NIA cases, MACT (Motor Accident Claim Tribunal) matters, matrimonial, bank recovery and criminal cases of compoundable nature, according to Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority here.
The Lok Adalats were conducted by District & Sessions Court of Yupia, Additional District & Sessions Courts of Basar & Bomdila, and courts of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Seppa, Yupia, Roing, Aalo and Judicial Magistrate of Tawang & Yupia.
