GOALPARA, Aug 29 - In a bid to provide better health facilities to the people living in the interior rural areas, the Indian Army recently organised a health-cum-awareness camp at Damas in North Garo Hills, stated a press release.

The release also stated that more than 8,000 people, including ESM, senior citizens, women and children of the locality and its neighbouring areas benefitted from the camp where Army doctors and paramedical staff provided basic medical care.

The Army medical team was also able to sensitise the local people about basic health and hygiene.

The release further added that the local community lauded the endeavour and expressed their gratitude towards the troops of the Red Horn Division for arranging the health camp.
