DHUBRI, Dec 14 - The list of reserved seats for the ensuing gram panchayat elections in Dhubri district has been finalised according.
In a meeting held with the representatives of political parties, gram panchayat members and members of the administration, it was finalised that out of 29 gram panchayat seats, 15 seats have been reserved for women. These reserved seats are: 1 no. Kakripara, 2 Kalapani, 3 Fekamari, 4 Sukchar, 7 Chalakura, 8 Bahir Salmara, 9 Ayer Kata, 11 Motichar, 12 Adabari, 14 North Geramari, 15 Alamganj, 21 Agomoni, 23 Panbari, 24 Borkanda and 27 Ananda Nagar Bangalipara. The office of the DIPRO also informed that 22 no. Hatidura seat has been reserved for the backward classes.
It was also informed that out of these seats, eight seats have been reserved for the GP president posts and eight for the GP vice president posts.
