GUWAHATI, April 2 - The Lions Club of Gauhati has started distributing essential items such as rice, dal and potatoes to the daily wage earners and the poor section of society.
Almost 500 families have been served till now. Groceries and other items were also distributed at various old age homes and orphanages.
Lions Club of Gauhati president Sunil Agarwal appealed to public to strictly maintain social distancing and remain safe inside homes and follow all the government advisories. �From now on, we will start door-to-door distribution,� he said and praised Club treasurer Ajay Poddar for his efforts in the distribution programme.
