Life sciences start-up drive held

GUWAHATI, April 5 - With an aim to sensitise and fuel up innovation, incubation, start-up and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the North East, the Guwahati Biotech Park under the Assam Government organised the NE Bio-Start, a life sciences start-up drive, on April 4-5.

The event was organised at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) here, a press release said today.

The inaugural session on April 4 was attended by Dr Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Director of IASST, Manoj Kumar Das, Director of the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) Guwahati, Somesh Palewal of the Regional Muga Research Station in Chaygaon, RM Dubey of the Centre for Innovation and Futures Studies, Vishal Gandhi of BIORx Venture Advisors Pvt Ltd, and Vinod Seshan, CEO of Guwahati Biotech Park, among other guests.

A series of talks on various topics, including aspects of bio entrepreneurship, enabling sustainable start-up, incubator and start-up ecosystem, were organised.
