GUWAHATI, July 3 - The Managing Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) Usha Sangwan visited Dhubri district on June 28 and 29 in connection with an awareness programme under the second phase of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, a press release stated.
She was accompanied by senior officials like MK Khemu, RM (P&GS) from Kolkata, BK Panda, Senior Divisional Manager and other officers of the Bongaigaon Divisional Office.
A meeting was held with the DC, ADC, CEO of DDC and LDM of Dhubri district to review insurance schemes under the financial inclusion programme of the Government of India such as PMJJBY & PMJDY at the DC Office, Dhubri.
It may be pertinent to add here that LICI has decided to adopt Dhubri district for its economic development and to generate awareness about the Government�s popular scheme to promote the general standard of life.
