By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, April 3 - At a time when conducting online classes is becoming a necessity to minimise the loss of academic days during the lockdown period, the Assam College Librarians Association (ACLA) has taken an important initiative to develop certain tutorials for starting online classes through their official YouTube channel ICT CELL ACLA.

Tutorials on Google Classroom and video conferencing through Zoom platform in education, SWAYAM etc., uploaded by the ICT cell have already received nearly a thousand views within 48 hours of launch.

Dr Prasanta Kr Deka, general secretary, ACLA informed that the video is prepared with an objective to create maximum awareness about the online teaching learning tools which may help both the teachers as well as the students to connect with each other.

Dr Deka requested the academic fraternity to use the online platforms like Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc., for maximum benefits of the student community.

The video has been prepared by Dr Birender Pal, convener of ICT cell, ACLA and librarian of Kaliabor College.

Dr Pal has already made certain videos for college librarians to enhance their practical skills through video tutorials in the recent past and shared them through the YouTube channel of ACLA. The college librarians body is also preparing more educational videos on different ICT facilities made available by the Ministry of Human Resource Development through their channel.
