GUWAHATI, Aug 26 - A leopard which killed a six-year-old boy at Maligaon on Friday was captured by the officials of the Forest Department last night.
�The leopard was trapped in a cage set up by the Forest Department last night.
Later, it was shifted to the rescue center of Assam State Zoo by the staff of Kamrup East Division with the help of a team of city police,� a forest official said.
Zoo officials said the animal is a female and is under two years of age.
The leopard has been terrorising the residents of Maligaon for the last few days.
Morphological examination was carried out which suggested that it was the same animal which attacked and killed the boy on Friday.
The leopard will be kept in the zoo.
