GUWAHATI, Aug 7 - Lenien Jamir of Assam playing a splendid brand of tennis defeated Raina Zaffar also from Assam 6-1, 6-0 to lift the championship crown in the girls U-14 event of the AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament which concluded today at Bhubaneswar, Odissa.
Lenien partnering with her State mate Raina however lost in the semifinals of the girls U-14 doubles event. In the boys U-14 singles final Rishav Brahma of Assam could not maintain his good show and went down tamely to Kabir Hans of Odissa 6-0, 6-3. Rishav also lost in the semifinals in the boys U-16 singles event today morning.
