Left panel wins Tripura HC Bar polls

AGARTALA, June 10 - Lawyers panel affiliated to Left Front�s All India Lawyers Union (AILU) won six posts out of 11 seats of Tripura High Court Bar Association elections held here on Saturday.

While BJP backed panel won only three seats, Congress legal cell�s one candidate came victorious. One sent went to an Independent.

Senior advocate Sankar Kumar Deb of AILU was elected as President of the Bar Association. Post of secretary of the Bar Association was won by independent candidate Paramita Dhar.
