GUWAHATI, March 14 - Eight veteran members of Lawyers� Association, Guwahati (LAG) were felicitated by the association at its office on Wednesday for their service to society and contributions in public life, according to a press release issued here today.
The programme was chaired by Biraj Kumar Choudhury, while association general secretary Amal Chandra Baishya conducted it.
The Lawyers� Association members felicitated on the occasion included Tarun Singha Lahkar, Harikanta Deka, Sayed Ikram Rasul, Jitendra Kumar Das, Shantilal Jain, Pradip Kumar Kalita, Hemkanta Sarma and Kiran Kumar Vatra. Former member Dalim Pathak was given posthumous recognition and honour for his services, the press release added.
