GUWAHATI, Dec 2 � The Lawn Bowling Association, Assam (LBAA) has successfully completed the 5th State Lawn Bowls Ranking and Inter District Championship at the Lawn Bowls Green, Sarusajai sports complex here today. Kamrup Metro emerged as the best team with 20 points while Kamrup Rural came second with 9 points. Udalguri was the third team scoring 3 points. Nibaran Gohain, won the men�s title in group C and B while in group A, Ruptu Gogoi walked away with the champion�s trophy. In the women�s category, Amiya Gogoi, Anwesha Bora and Tania Choudhury became champions in group C, B and A respectively.
In the closing function, presided over by LBAA president Durga Das Boro, Sports Minister Ajit Singh was present as chief guest. Regional Director of SAI NE Region Meena Bora, DTO Kamrup and LBAA vice-president Gautam Das were also present on the occasion and gave away the prizes.
