GUWAHATI, Feb 10: The last session of the 14th Assam Legislative Assembly will commence tomorrow.
The three-day ‘February Session’ will start with the Governor’s Address.
It will be followed by Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address.
The Speaker will then announce the Report of the Business Advisory Committee setting the business for the session. After that, there will be laying of ordinances, reports and rules, besides presentation of reports of various House committees.
Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will present a Vote on Account, 2021-22, tomorrow in the House. As the Assembly elections are due in the State in April-May, the Vote on Account will be presented instead of a full Budget in this session. After the presentation of the Vote on Account, there will be introduction of government Bills and obituary references.
On February 12, the day’s session will begin with the Question Hour, followed by debate on the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address, and consideration and passing of government Bills.
The final session of the 14th Assam Legislative Assembly will then be adjourned sine-die.
