HAFLONG, May 22 - Following heavy landslides due to incessant rain, several roads and houses of the villages like Muolhoi, Khonsai, Disgao Raji, Upper Bagetar, Gilgal, Lower Haflong etc., were damaged.
The house of Lamhao Gamlhou, secretary of Khongsai village, Haflong, was completely damaged by landslide on Saturday night. However, there was no loss of life reported as the family spent the night at a neighbour�s place.At Muolhoi, more than 80 houses, including RCC buildings, were damaged forcing the residents to spend sleepless nights.
According to reports, as many as 250 families were affected and 10 school buildings, several PHE and irrigation schemes were also affected. Agricultural land measuring 400 hectares were also damaged in Haflong.
