The Range Rover Sport SUV of Land Rover now gets a new 2.0-litre petrol engine which is the smallest unit to power the car. The engine belongs to Jaguar Land Rover�s Ingenium engine family. So far, the Range Rover Sport has been available with the choice of a 4.4-litre diesel, 3.0-litre and 5.0-litre petrol engines.
The new 6-cylinder DOHC engine with a twin scroll turbocharger offers an impressive power and torque figures of 296bhp @ 5500rpm and 400Nm @ 1500rpm respectively. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Land Rover claims the top speed to be higher than 200kmph and 0-100kmph time of 7.1 seconds for the new Range Rover Sport 2.0-litre Petrol version.
The new 2.0-litre Petrol version of Range Rover Sport is available in three trim levels - S, SE and HSE. The price details of the newly launched three variants of Range Rover Sport are as follows.
(i) S 2.0 Petrol - Rs.86.71 lakhs;
(ii) SE 2.0 Petrol - Rs.94.48 lakhs;
(iii) HSE 2.0 Petrol - Rs.1.56 crores
