DOOMDOOMA, June 13 - Lok Sabha member from Lakhimpur Pradan Baruah was felicitated at a function held at the Doomdooma Marwari Panchayati Bhawan on Wednesday.

The programme was organised by the Tinsukia district committee of the BJP in collaboration with the Kakopothar, Doomdooma and Hapjan mandal committees of the party. The meeting was chaired by Tinsukia district committee president Lakheswar Moran.

Pradan Baruah, who was felicitated with a gamusa, sarai and a bouquet of flowers, in his speech, said, �My immediate goal is to complete the half-done schemes. I will give priority to connectivity, besides improving the existing roads.� He informed that the Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner has already been asked to take stock of the Dirak-Sumoni dyke and erosions problems of Kordoiguri.

Baruah was accompanied by Digboi MLA Suren Phukan, Doomdooma Municipal Board chairman Dulu Arandhara and several other party leaders. Four party members, Chiranjilal Goyal, Golok Deka, Thaneswar Saikia and Lakhimi Neog, were also felicitated during the programme.
