GUWAHATI, June 29 - Shillong Lajong Football Club Academy posted a facile 4-0 victory against Gauhati Town Club in a group league match of the 8th Bodousa Cup Football Tournament, organised by the Bodousa Sports Club.

In the one-sided encounter at the Nehru Stadium here today, the local team took control of the situation from the word go and went 1-0 ahead in the 23rd minute through Milan Basumatary.

In the second session, continuing their domination, the Shillong boys netted three more tearing apart the Town defence. Milan enhanced the margin in the 63rd minute while Redeem Thang added another in the 72nd minute. It was Milan again who completed the rout after three minutes which was his hat-trick goal. Milan was also picked for the man-of-the-match award.

With today�s victory the Shillong team ensured their place in the quarterfinal stage.

Our Tinsukia correspondent adds: In a league match of Group A 1 of the ongoing Bodousa Cup Football Tournament at the Katchujan Field here today, Oil India Football Club defeated Makum FC 5-0.

Oil striker Nabin Rabha registered a hat-trick in today�s match. Other two goals were netted by Manash Manjit Chetia and Minto Boro respectively.

Today�s matches: (Guwahati) GTC vs ASEB; (Tinsukia) Bodousa FC vs AMOFA FC, Manipur.
