BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 16 - The laikhuta of Biswanath Festival, 2015 was installed on Tuesday at the Kamalakanta Kshetra here in a religious ceremony with much enthusiasm by Biswanath SDO(Civil) Pallav Gopal Jha, who is also the president of the celebration committee.

He was assisted by Biswanath SP and patron Manabendra Devroy, Biswanath Circle Officer and celebration committee general secretary Sanjiv Doloi, Biswanath Municipality chairman Ruli Sharma and former minister Noorjamal Sarkar.

Besides general public, senior citizens Jiten Bhagawati, Deepak Agarwal, Deepak Das, Dilip Baruah, Swaraj Hazarika, Apurba Das, Anjan Borah and Pankaj Borah and representatives of several organisations were present at the ceremony.

Pallav Gopal Jha, Manabendra Devroy, Noorjamal Sarkar and Ruli Sharma spoke a few words on the occasion. Earlier, a cleanliness drive was organised at the Kamalakanta Kshetra.

It may be mentioned here that the fourth edition of the festival will be celebrated at various places of Biswanath subdivision on December 27, 28 and 29.
