GUWAHATI, March 5 - The laikhuta (main pillar) of the 33rd Guwahati Book Fair, being organised by the Publication Board, Assam (PBA), was installed by eminent scientist and writer Dr Dinesh Chandra Goswami at a function held in the Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) field here this morning.
The book fair will be held from March 14 to 25.
PBA Secretary Pramod Kalita said in a statement here that over 100 publishing houses from across the country are expected to take part in the event. Several publications of the Parishad will be released during the book fair. Various events including a young writers� festival will be held during the 12-day book fair.
