GUWAHATI, Dec 16 � Investigation into the death of Neelotpol Lahon, the husband of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Leena Doley, is nearing completion and investigators have confirmed it to be �case of suicide�.
Investigators however refused to divulge the reasons behind Lahon taking the extreme step on October 4 but hinted that it may be a be possible case of extreme distress due to personal problems.
Police also confirmed that the bullet shells recovered from the spot of the crime were of the service revolver of ASP Leena Doley.
Sources meanwhile said that Doley, the ASP in-charge of Dial 100 is also likely to face disciplinary action by the Home Department for gross negligence of duty and violation of license conditions.
