GUWAHATI, May 19 - A lady officer of the Special Task Force of Assam Police Dipali Baruah was arrested by Garchuk Police on charges of receiving bribe and wrongful confinement of a person.
Baruah, a sub inspector, was picked up last night from Dhubri where she was hiding, based on a complaint by one Biren Haloi. Her husband too was picked up by a team of City Police and thoroughly questioned.
Investigators said that four more accused who accompanied Baruah, including an assistant sub inspector and two constables, are on the run.
