KV Lumding shine

LUMDING, Sept 10 - Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lumding organised the 46th KVS Regional Sports Meet 2015 from September 1 to 3. The meet was included cricket, judo, taekwondo and boxing events. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lumding performed well in all the events and won 15 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals. Lumding KV Students got 6 gold medals in different groups of taekwondo and 9 gold medals in different events of athletics meet which was held at Kendirya Vidyalaya, Karimganj.

Altogether 28 students are selected for the KVS National Sports Meet to be held at Lucknow, Patna and Gwalior Region respectively. In cricket S Krishna Rao and Arjun Singh performed creditably. KV, Lumding became champions while KV Kunjaban became runners-up and KV Bagafa got third position.

In badminton, held at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Masimpur, Ankita Bhattacharjee of Karimganj emerge champion while Singini Roy of KV Lumding (U-17) became runners-up.
