GUWAHATI, June 15 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today announced that the State Government will preserve the house of Swahid Kushal Konwar and repair the road that leads to the house of the martyr at Balijan near Sarupathar in Golaghat district.
Speaking on the death anniversary function of Swahid Kushal Konwar at the Nehru Park, the Chief Minister Sonowal said that Swahid Kushal Konwar, who sacrificed his life for the country�s freedom struggle, needs the highest degree of obeisance from everybody.
Leading the State in paying rich floral tributes to this great son, Sonowal said that his Government would do everything possible for preserving the house of the martyr and repair the road that leads to the martyr�s house.
Reiterating his Government�s commitment to value the sacrifice of Kushal Konwar and look after his lineage, Sonowal said that his (Kushal Konwar�s) contribution to India�s freedom movement curved a niche for the State in the national landscape.
