GUWAHATI, Jan 18 - Kurl-on Enterprise Ltd, India�s leading mattress company, opened its first company-owned, company-operated Kurl-on Home Komfort outlet in the North-east here today.
A part of the company�s recent expansion plans, this is the 15th such store across India and five more are in the pipeline.
Speaking to mediapersons after the store launch, Ashutosh Vaidya, Chief Marketing Officer, Kurl-on Enterprise Ltd, said, �Kurl-on Home Komfort is a new concept that aims to provide customised home comfort solutions. Unlike other stores, customers can visit here and order furniture and mattresses according to their individual needs.�
To a question on Kurl-on�s furniture foray, Vaidya said, �See, Kurl-on is one of the suppliers to IKEA. We make the finest quality furniture. We feel that furniture is an essential part of Kurl-on�s DNA... so we thought why not sale along with the mattresses, beds and sleep products, furniture that provide complete bedroom solution.�
When asked about Kurl-on�s plans to open a mattress manufacturing plant in Assam, Vaidya said the company is in a very advanced stage of starting a manufacturing unit in the State, which can cater to the entire North-east as well as parts of West Bengal markets. The company also has visions of reaching to the markets in some of the Southeast Asian countries via the North-east, he added.
