SHILLONG, June 16 - One Khasi Students� Union (KSU) member was nabbed yesterday while four managed to flee while intending to commit arson here.
According to Police, five KSU members attempted to commit arson but were intercepted by a Special Operation Team (SOT) at Golf Link here.
�On trying to flee, a scuffle ensued where one SOT personnel was injured and shifted to Civil Hospital. However, others managed to flee. One KSU member, Samuel L Nongpiur of Mawlai Mawroh was apprehended and a plastic jar containing two litre petrol and four Maruti rubber tyres were found and seized,� informed the police.
