KSA president, leaders expelled

DIPHU, Sept 14 - Semeon Rongphar has been expelled from the post of president of Karbi Students� Association (KSA). This was announced by other members of central committee of KSA in press meet held at Diphu Press Club here.

While addressing the press meet, KSA central committee vice-president Mondol Inghi stated that Rongphar had violated constitutional law of KSA by threatening KSA members. On September 5, a gang of goons led by Rongphar and All India Students� Association (AISA) leaders, Ranjit Kramsa and Thomson Rongpi, allegedly entered the KSA central committee office and threatened the KSA members to vacate the office immediately.

The other expelled student leaders are � Thompson Rongpi, Laichan Ingleng, Atursing Teron, Peter Phangcho, and Bijoy Kro. They were expelled for creating chaos and conspiracy within the organisation, the KSA leaders added.

The KSA leaders appointed Mondol Inghi as acting president of KSA central committee till October 10. It may be mentioned here that the KSA central body alleged that all the expelled student leaders were working actively with the CPI (ML).
