GUWAHATI, June 21 - Assam boy Kritanta Sarma lifted the boys singles title in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament for boys and girls U-18 years which concluded today at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Chachal here.

In the singles final played today, Kritanta defeated Arif Afzal of West Bengal in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.

Assam women boxers secure top spots: Four Assam boxers � Bhagyabati Kachari (75kg), Lovlina Borgohain (69kg), Ankushita Boro (64kg) and Jamuna Boro (54kg) have secured top spots in their respective weight categories in the latest ranking list published by the Boxing Federation of India.

All the four Assam boxers will travel to Thailand, Indonesia and Russia in July and August for international tournaments, informed Assam Amateur Boxing Association secretary Hemanta Kumar Kalita.
