GUWAHATI, July 19 - Kristi Boro of Assam playing scintillating tennis ousted top seed Bhakti Parwani of Gujarat in straight sets 4-1, 4-2 in the Girls U-14 singles pre-quarterfinals of the OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament going on at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex, Chachal, here.
Udit Gogoi also from Assam cruised into the quarterfinals in the Boys U-14 singles event. All the other Assam players crashed out of the singles events of the tournament. The boys and girls under 16 singles events are going on at the time of filing this report which will be followed by boys and girls doubles events in the U-14 and 16 categories.
