GUWAHATI, June 17 - Assam girl Kristi Boro clinched double crown in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament.
On the penultimate day of the championship at the All Assam Tennis Association complex in Chachal here today, Kristi defeated West Bengal�s Bhumi Shekhar for the U-12 title while in the U-14 summit clash she rallied to beat another Bengal girl Sweta Samanta 4-6, 6-1, 6-0.
It was a field day for the Assam players as Anurag Buragohain won the boys U-14 crown with a facile 6-0, 6-2 victory over his State mate Hrykpb Borah 6-0, 6-2.
The remaining doubles finals will be played tomorrow.
