GUWAHATI, July 14 - Assam girl Kristi Boro caused upset defeating 2nd seed Shrichandrakala Tentu of Tamil Nadu 6-1, 6-4 in the girls U-12 semifinal in the OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament.
Another Assam player Udit Gogoi defeated 6th seed Aman Wasim of West Bengal 6-1, 6-2 to enter the final of the boys U-14 category.
On the penultimate day of the championship, the top seed pair of Siddharth R Vaada of Telangana and Dhanush Patel of Gujrat won the boys U-12 doubles title defeating the Assam duo of Arunesh Bora and Andy Thaosen 3-6, 6-3, 10-6.
All the remaining finals are scheduled to be held tomorrow at the All Assam Tennis Association complex, Chachal here.
