GUWAHATI, Aug 12 - Krishnabh Mrinmoy Hazarika clinched the title in GCA Online Chess Classic for U-15 players organised by the Guwahati Chess Academy (GCA) from�August 5 to 11 at chess.com platform.
Krishnabh scored 6 points from 7 rounds to clinch the title. In the final round, Krishnabh beat Rayhaan Hussain. Chaarvi Choudhury also scored 6 points by beating favourite and overnight joint leader Unmilita Pathak but had to be content with second on the basis of tie-break score.
Karnabh P Deka scored 5.5 points and got third position.
Khyati Kashyap was adjudged best girl of the tournament. She scored 5 points from 7 rounds. Ikshita Barman also scored 5 points but she was declared second on the basis of tie-break score. Bharsita Sahariah got third position.
Deboraj Biswas got first position in the U-13 category by scoring 5 points. Rayhaan Hussain came second while Nalinakhya Kashyap got third position.
