KPLT observes Martyr�s Day

DIPHU, July 20 - Militant organisation Karbi People�s Liberation Tiger (KPLT), which is under a ceasefire agreement with the government, observed its 9th year of ceasefire status and Martyr�s Day at Bakalia and Kolonga Designated Camp on Wednesday.

Assistant general secretary of the outfit Songriso Kro Nihang chaired the programme. He was felicitated by the cadres present.

KPLT chairman Donri Kramsa, C-in-C SJ Ejang, general secretary Vojaru Hangjang, vice chairman Risim Singnar Pator, defence secretary Tungjang, home secretary Songsar Kathar and publicity secretary SR Krongjang were present at the meeting.

The programme commenced with floral tributes being paid in the memory of the fallen cadres and unfurling of the organisational banner. Discussion was held concerning the demands and aspirations of the KPLT. The rank and file of the KPLT vowed to continue pursuing its demand through democratic and peaceful means.
