This was stated by Akhil Gogoi, leader of the KMSS, along with leaders of other agitating organizations in a joint press meet in North Lakhimpur today.

The other groups included Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), All Assam Tai Ahom Students Union (AATASU), All Assam SC Students Union, Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) and other womens groups who have called for a massive road blockade at Pahumara, near North Lakhimpur from December 16, onwards if the district authority and the NHPC do not return the turbine stationed at North Lakhimpur. The leaders of all these organizations have appealed to the public to gather en-masse at Pahumara, off the river Ranganadi from December 16, onwards and to block the passage of every construction material of the NHPC meant for the dam site at Gerukamukh.
