KMSS moves Centre, RBI against Himanta

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Oct 5 The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) today submitted memorandums to Union Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Reserve Bank of India demanding action against Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and News Life channel for alleged corporate fraud amounting to crores of rupees.

The organisation has also submitted certified documents along with the memorandums to substantiate its allegations.

The KMSS reacting to the statement made by News Live yesterday, expressed surprise that instead of the Health Minister the news channel chose to reply to the charges of corporate fraud.

The KMSS general secretary in a communiqu issued to the press said that the news channel has failed to answer to most of the allegations of the peasant organization. "Instead of raving, News Live should let the people know the location of BKT Finance Private Ltd and who is its owner. The news channel must also come up with the names of the anonymous individuals who have contributed 20 percent investment," said the release.
