KMSS demands CBI probe into question paper leak

By STAFF Correspondent

DIBRUGARH, Sept 28 - The Krishak Mukti Sangram Sammittee (KMSS) in collaboration with Chatra Mukti Sangram Sammittee today burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Chowkidinghee intersection here in protest against the SI examination question paper leak and in support of their demand for repeal of the recently enacted farm bills.

The peasant body, which today expressed disappointment over the pace of investigation into the question paper leak case, demanded that the case be handed over to the CBI. Suspecting political conspiracy in the scam, the protesters said that the countrys highest investigative agency must be given the responsibility to handle the case. They said that the scam has revealed the incompetence of the Home Ministry, which is headed by Sonowal.

The peasants body also said that recently passed farm bills will do more harm than good to the farmers. Alleging that the BJP-led government has always stood by the capitalist, the protesting leaders said that the toiling farmer community has not benefited from the present government.
