TEZPUR, March 13 - Two students of Pachmile-Chotaichapori based St Mary�s English School near here, who were kidnapped from the school verandah this morning, were safely rescued from Thelamara area.
Sources said that accused Jakir Hussain, an autorickshaw driver of Tezpur Gutlung area, kidnapped the two children hailing from Ketekibari and Garwanpatti areas of the town and handed them over to one Afish of Thelamara area. Later the police, with the help of local residents of Thelamara area, managed to rescue the two children and arrest the accused involved in the incident.
Police said that the two accused are involved with a human trafficking gang. Meanwhile, the school authority declined to give any sort of information to reporters regarding the incident.
