JALUKBARI, July 26 - Two minors who were kidnapped from the Kamakhya Railway Station on July 20 have been rescued by the Jalukbari police from near the Jalukbari flyover.
It may be recalled that this newspaper had earlier reported the kidnapping of the minors identified as Pinki Rai (6) and her younger brother Gopal Rai (4).
Police sources said that they have arrested one Amiran Begum (30) who had allegedly kidnapped the minors. A case has been registered in this connection. Amiran, who was produced before the court, has been sent to jail.
The minors were handed over to their parents, who are still living on Platform No 4 of the Kamakhya Railway Station.
