GUWAHATI, July 15 - The warm up events of Assam Kickboxing Association (AKA) for the 8th All Assam State Level Inter School Kickboxing Championship and 4th All Assam State Level Inter College Kickboxing Championship came to an end on Saturday at the Swahid Bhawan in Mirza, Kamrup.
The championship was hosted by Dakshin Kamrup District Kickboxing Association (DKDKA) and was patronised by AKA and supported by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) through Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO Asia), NKF NG WAKO India and Directorate of Elementary, Secondary and Higher Education, Government of Assam.�
Altogether 253 players and 32 officials, both boys and girls in the age group of U-8, 11, 14, 17, 19 and 24 years from 37 schools and 23 colleges from 17 districts took part in the three-day championship in the kick light, light contact, point fighting, low kick, K 1 rule and full contact.
Among the colleges, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh and Kamrup took top three positions respectively while among schools top three positions were held by Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Tinsukia.
